Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using mongoengine.org or docs.mongoengine.org (collectively, “the Sites”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, please do not use the Sites.
These terms apply to all visitors, readers, and contributors. They may be updated at any time — continued use of the Sites constitutes acceptance of any revised terms.

Content & Accuracy
We strive to publish accurate, up-to-date information. However, the AI tooling landscape moves fast. Tool pricing, features, availability, and performance characteristics change frequently.
Reviews, benchmarks, and comparisons on this site reflect our findings at the time of writing. Always verify current pricing and features directly with the tool provider before making purchasing decisions.
We welcome corrections. If you spot an error, please contact us and we will investigate and update promptly.
Intellectual Property
All editorial content on mongoengine.org — including articles, reviews, guides, comparisons, and original graphics — is copyright © MongoEngine Authors unless otherwise stated. All rights reserved.
You may:
- Quote up to 50 words from any article with a clear attribution link back to the original page.
- Share links to our content freely.
- Reference our findings in your own work with attribution.
You may not reproduce full articles, scrape content for AI training datasets, or republish our work without explicit written permission.
Open-Source Software
The MongoEngine Python ODM library is open-source software licensed under the MIT License. Its source code, issue tracker, and contribution guidelines are available on GitHub at github.com/MongoEngine/mongoengine.
The documentation at docs.mongoengine.org is provided under the same spirit of openness. If you find errors or wish to contribute improvements, please open an issue or pull request on GitHub.
Note: These Terms of Use govern use of the websites. Use of the MongoEngine library itself is governed by its MIT License, not these Terms.
Acceptable Use
When using these Sites, you agree not to:
- Scrape, crawl, or harvest content in bulk without permission — especially for AI training datasets.
- Attempt to access, modify, or disrupt the Sites’ infrastructure.
- Use the Sites to distribute spam, malware, or any harmful content.
- Misrepresent our editorial positions or fabricate quotes attributed to us.
- Use our content in any way that violates applicable law.
We reserve the right to block access to any user or automated agent that violates these terms.
Third-Party Links
Our reviews and guides link extensively to external tools, documentation, and resources. These links are provided for convenience and information. We do not control third-party websites and are not responsible for their content, privacy practices, or availability.
Some links may be affiliate links. Where this is the case, it is disclosed at the top of the relevant page. Affiliate relationships do not influence our editorial judgement.
Disclaimers
The Sites and all content are provided “as is” without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that:
- Content is complete, accurate, or current at any given time.
- Tool reviews reflect current product capabilities after the date of publication.
- The Sites will be available without interruption or error.
Developer decisions — including tool adoption, architectural choices, and purchasing decisions — should be based on your own evaluation and testing, not solely on our reviews.
Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, MongoEngine Authors shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of, or inability to use, the Sites or any content thereon — including but not limited to losses arising from reliance on tool reviews or technical guides.
Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms of Use at any time. Material changes will be reflected in the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. Your continued use of the Sites after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the new terms.
